Marrakech which lies at the foot of the Atlas Mountains in the southwest region of Morocco has a sub-Sahara climate making it appealing throughout the year with plenty of sunshine.

The Spring season generally has temperatures ranging from 15C (59°F) to 21C (70°F) with the periods between March and June being the best time to visit. The summer months are very hot with temperatures on average 27C (80°F) in July and August. Throughout the summer months Marrakech experiences 11 hours of sunshine with almost 0 rainfall levels. Evening temperatures during the summer months can dip to an average of 15C (59°F).

Winter temperatures are at their lowest in January and February, with averages ranging from 18°C (64°F) to 19°C (66°F). Rainfall increases in the winter.
